Enactus BITS Hyderabad
As President of Enactus BITS Hyderabad, I led a team of students building social ventures. Nobody was paid and nobody got credit. They showed up because the work mattered.
Project Vikalp is the one I'm proudest of. Children at autism ashrams in Hyderabad made beaded bracelets, necklaces and earrings in their free time. We set up stalls on campus and put their work in front of people who bought it. Along the way, it changed how many of them saw autism.
Project Oorja took on a harder engineering problem: could we turn biogas into electricity?
Both took us to the quarterfinals of the Enactus India Competition.
Then Covid hit. It was hard, but we kept going. We found new ways to work, stayed focused, and still delivered excellent work.
with great power comes great responsibility. it's a spider-man line, and the truest thing enactus taught me. you don't steer the boat alone. you steer it with a team.
